1969
On June 15, 1969 the Bracewell Reunion met in Bedias Civic Center. President Dorothy Ford welcomed all present and recognized visitors. Pres. Ford lead in opening prayer and Raymond led us in “When We All Get To Heaven”.
The Devotional was from Romans 11.
The minutes were read and approved. The treasury showed a balance of $90.77 in reunion fund.
These new limbs were added: Steve Rigby married Francis Bradbury June 7, 1969 Jerry Bracewell “ Colleen McVey April 4, 1969 Elizaabeth Ann born to Kenneth & Shirley Farris July 13, 1968 James Dooley grandson (didn’t get name or date)
It was also noted that Charles Bracewell was in the Navy. Resolutions were readed and adopted for: Anna Peavy and Ardell Bracewell read by Raymond Roy Hall and Charles Victor Crowson “ Dorothy Ford Darrell Tuck read by Stone Binford
A motion was made by Joe Taylor and seconded to reset the day of the reunion back to the first Sunday in June. It was voted on and past.
Joe Taylor discussed the Memorial Fund. He read a draft he had drawn up and it was adopted by reunion. Raymond, Travis Bracewell, and Hulon Hall were elected trustees to represent the reunion.
The offering was taken for the cemetery fund.
The nominating committee report was given by Raymond. Their recommendations were: Dick Farris as President Joe Taylor as V. Pres. Linda Massey as Sec. Tre.
The motion was made and second. A motion was made and second to designate present cemetery fund to the trustees to care for cemetery at present time.
We were dismissed by prayer and all enjoyed the wonderful lunch and fellowship.
