IN MEMORY OF
WINDER CROUCH BRACEWELL
WHEREAS on the 27th. day of June, 1940, our creator called to rest Winder Crouch Bracewell of Seabrook, Texas.
WHEREAS, Mr. Bracewell was born August 21st. 1865 at Alexandaria La, the son of James Newton Bracewell. He came to Texas at an early age and married Love Syphrett, who preceeded him in death.
Whereas, Mr. Bracewell entered the ministery at the age of twenty, and for about fifty years was a member of the Methodist Conferences. He was active in the Ministery for about thirty years, holding pastorates in Houston and various other places in Texas. He was especially known as an evangelist. A throat ailment compelled him to retire from preaching about twenty years ago.
WHEREAS, Mr. Bracewell was a devoted father of serval children, and a beloved friend of every person in his community.
WHEREAS, such a life was not lived for personal gain, but for the purpose of instilling in the hearts and minds of all whom he met the ambition of building their eternal homes in heaven, now therefore be it,
RESOLVED by the members of the Bracewell Reunion in session this 1st. day of June, 1941 express our deepest regrets at the passing of this beloved member of our group, and that we extend our heartfelt sympathies to the members of his family, and be it further resolved that a copy of this resolution be spread upon the minutes of this Reunion.
