In Memory Of
William Byron Bracewell
Whereas, on June 7, 1945, at a seemingly early age in life, our Heavenly Father
saw fit to call William Byron Bracewell from this life here on earth to a home of peace
and contentment.
Whereas, he was the first son of William Barto Bracewell and was born May 14,
1887, in Grimes County. He was married to Annie Williamson, December 22, 1909.
There were two children born to this union. One died in infancy. The other, Herbert, died August 7, 1934.
Whereas, Byron was a devoted husband and father and loved his people.
Whereas, he was one among the first to help originate the meeting of the Bracewell Reunion-and only missed one meeting which was held only four days before he passed away.
Be it resolved that the Bracewell Reunion now in session this second day of June, 1946, pause for a brief moment in memory of one so faithful, and that a copy of this resolution be given to his wife, Annie Bracewell, and that a copy be added to the minutes of the Bracewell Reunion as a token of love and esteem which we held for this fine relative.
