MEMORIAL -- DORIS DOOLEY

On February 13, 1971, Doris Dooley followed her husband, James, in claiming her Eternal Rewards beyond this life.

Doris was born November 14, 1918, into the home of Mr. and Mrs. Clyde Smith in Temple, Texas. Her death at age 52 left her mother, Mrs. Ruth Smith, a sister, Mrs. Eula Miller, two brothers, Wallace and Bailey Smith, her children and many friends deeply grieved at the loss felt in her absence.

On April 25, 1942, she was married to James Carlton Dooley and they established their home in Bryan,Texas. For the next 28 years she was a devoted wife and mother.

Doris's activities and influence reached beyond her home into her community. She worked at Texas A & M University, was a member of the First Primitive Baptist Church of Bryan, and was interested in activities of civic welfare. During these years, those who came in contact with her came to realize that to know Doris was to love her.

Again, to her children, Mrs. Phyllis Holder, Jimmy Dooley, and Jay Dooley, our most heart felt sympathies are extended.

A copy of the resolution is to be sent to the family and the original is to be copied into the permanent minutes of the Reunion.

Unanimously adopted by the Bracewell Reunion on June 6, 1971.
