OBITUARY - VERNON BRACEWELL
Funeral services for Vernon Lee Bracewell, 81, of Lake Jackson were held Tuesday, January 9 at the Lakewood Chapel with Rev. Homer Anderson of the Church of Christ officiating. Burial was at Restwood Memorial Park in Clute.
Bracewell, an area resident for 18 months, died Saturday, January 6 at Brazosport Memorial Hospital.
A former railroad brakeman, he is survived by his wife, Mary E. Bracewell of Lake Jackson; two daughters Velma Lea West of Marion, Texas and Frances M. Sanders of Lake Jackson; one son, Vernon L. Bracewell of Austin, Texas; three brothers, Vestel Bracewell of Victoria, Virgil Bracewell of Garden City, Michigan, and Victor Bracewell of Houston; two sisters, Velma Shirley of Electra, Texas and Vera Threadgill of New Braunfels; seven grandchildren and three great grandchildren.
