(U. C. Bracewell's 104th birthday)
Dear Joe,
Many thanks for your letter and the enclosures. I was delighted to have a list of
J. M. B.'s children and the years of their births.
I have access to microfilms of U. S. Census records at Federal Archives in nearby San Bruno. Using the genealogy in the 1971 "Reunion" have been searching for Bracewells in Laurens Co, Ga. Neither Wm & Elizabeth B, nor J.M.B & Martha Emmaline James are in Laurens Co. in 1850. Must have moved to Alabama before 1850. But which county in Alabama?
I heard that Reginald B. died last year. Do you know his sources for the genealogy and where they are now? If his daughter Lynn has them, do you know her married name and her address?
There were no James families in Laurens Co in 1850 so presume that Martha Emmaline was from Alabama, but need to know county.
Best to you & yours. If I can help in anyway please call on me. Am pleased to be included.
Cordially your cousin,
(signed) Chas
