RESOLUTION
Whereas, on May 3rd, 1970, W. E. Boney (Ethel) departed this life at the age of 70 (seventy) years, and 27 (twenty-seven) days.
And whereas, W.E. Boney, the son of Susan Bracewell Boney, and William Boyd Boney was born in the Cotton community in Grimes County, Texas, and for many years attended the Bracewell reunion.
And whereas, he was one of eleven children; was left fatherless at an early age, and was compelled to make his own way from the time he was fourteen years of age, but who, with a minimum of formal education rose to become one of the most prominent businessmen in the Grimes and Madison County trade area- -
And whereas, he never forgot the humble circumstances which surrounded his early childhood as demonstrated by his constant willingness to help friend, or kin, during his lifetime- -
And whereas it is our desire to pay tribute to a full, fine and useful life,and by one of our own-
Be it therefore resolved that we, those in attendance at the annual Bracewell reunion on this the 7th day of June, 1970, pause in honor of W. E. Boney, and be it further resolved that copies of this resolution go forward to those members of the W. E. Boney family that may request it.
