The Family Tree will be available for review and update, with copies provided. New computer software improvements now make it possible to get the whole tree on one long scroll.
Please plan to attend and bring the children and those who may not have transportation. If you cannot attend, you can send a note of support and greeting with a relative, and we will read it aloud during the meeting. We hope to see you at the reunion!
The Spring flowers should be in full bloom if we can get some rain between now and then. As usual, we will share a family-style meal under the old oaks.
Two years ago, Vernon Tuck offered to provide the labor and concrete for a slab on the pad of the old church building if others could provide the labor and material for the forms and reinforcing steel. At last year's reunion, it was noted that we had not taken advantage of the generous offer so everyone agreed to form work parties and take action. We had three working outings and completed the necessary preparations. Vernon's crews were otherwise occupied by the time we were ready to proceed with the pour, so he donated $1,200 toward the work. Ken Farris added another $1,000 and supplied the form materials. Ron Perkins donated the steel reinforcing. In addition, we contracted the concrete placing and finishing, and the slab is now complete.
Thanks to all who made this possible, especially Vernon for getting the ball rolling. Future improvements are under consideration, and we welcome your comments and suggestions.
We hope to see you at the reunion!
